I love the beach, seashells, sunshine and my life in Southwest Florida. I'm obsessed with Coastal Living magazine and all history of the Florida Keys.

Junonia's - Will I ever find one?
I've lived in SW Florida for 10 years now. That means I've been searching for a Junonia for 10 years! It's like looking for buried treasure. I always find it funny that the vacationers come down and bam- Junonia. There they are standing on the beach with that Junonia in their hands just smiling away!
Well, at least I have this one. My mom found it on Algiers Beach on Sanibel. No, it's not all there, but at least I have something! I didn't even find it and I got excited!

It was a special treat to come across this "Shell tree" and it really made you stop and take a good look. Thanks to whoever keeps adding the shells!

Cayo Costa State Park
The weather has been chilly and rainy so I thought I would share some pictures of Cayo Costa State Park. It is always a great shelling trip. If you have never been- you really should plan a trip. From Pineland(Pine Island), you take a ferry ride over on Tropic Star. They have several options for you to choose from depending on how long you want to stay on the Island.
The Olive Shells were incredible- We were having so much fun we couldn't stop picking them up! Here's a look at the days bounty- Can't wait to go again!
